When and where
The method or the Butu dance was created in Japan in the 60s and 70s of the 20th century. It was a response to the Japan's headlong of Americanization and to the traditional rigidity of a society. In its roots this is not a dance, which would have a single, uniformed shape, but it is a method where the body is no longer merely an instrument for achieving aesthetic effect. The body becomes one with the mind and emotions, and thus puts a man, if we exaggerate a little, as a total work of art in him.
Both student of drama play met with the method at the academy with prof. Tanja Zgonc, an internationally recognized artist of Buta dance. Under her mentorship and especially through own psycho-physical research they came up to two solo performances. Both works are combined and improved in the Path joint project.
