Why I Do(n’t) Have Children

What does a woman gain and what does she lose if she becomes a mother? For what reasons does a woman not become a mother? Why are we afraid to have children? Why is having children self-evident?

There are several voices in the text – each with its own position, statement, prejudices, views, doubts and feelings. The voices of two women, as well as the voices that crept into them due to social pressure, upbringing, psychological distress … The play explores the defining female body. A body that is made and works all its life to fulfill the biological function of continuing the species. The body that women in this function have learned to direct and limit. A body that we culturalized but did not liberate.
